Antonio Valenti (1866-1941).

William Vaughan (1814-1902), Roman Catholic Bishop of Plymouth.

Emma Veale, born circa 1847 in Sparkwell, Devon, was a resident pupil at Lady Hannah Rogers' Charity School in Plymouth according to the census taken on Sunday April 7th 1861.

John Veale was Mayor of Plymouth for 1736-1737.

G Venicombe appeared on the list of "Freemen and House-holders of the Borough of Plymouth, entitled to vote for Members of Parliament" in July 1832.

Ernest Samuel Vicary (1884-1962). who was born at Highweek, Newton Abbot, ion 1884 and served in the Indian Army during the Great War, was appointed as Director of the British Broadcasting Company's Plymouth Radio Studio in February 1942.  He married Miss Kathleen Mary Mitchell, daughter of the Mayor of Plymouth in 1925-26, Mr R J Mitchell, in London on February 12th 1944.  Mr Vicary died at the Smallfield Hospital, Horley, Crawley, Sussex, on December 4th 1962.

Albert William Vickery (0000-1951), the son of Mr William James Vickery and his wife Eliza, took charge of the business of Messrs Vickery and Company upon the retirement of his father in 1901.  When he retired in 1935 he left the business to his two sons, Mr Stanley Albert Vickery (1901-1986) and Mr Ralph Ernest Vickery (1903-1940).  Mr Albert William Vickery died at Looe, Cornwall, on Saturday April 28th 1951.  He had been a member of the management committee of the Prince of Wales's Hospital in Lockyer Street for many years.

Ralph Ernest Vickery (1903-1940) took over the running of the family business with his older brother Mr Stanley Albert Vickery in 1935.  Mr Ralph Ernest Vickery died on August 14th 1940, leaving the business in the sole hands of his older brother.

Stanley Albert Vickery (1901-1986) inherited the business of Messrs Vickery and Company with his younger brother Ralph following the retirement death of their father in 1935.  In However, they sold out to Messrs E Dingle and Company Limited, of which Mr Vickery then became a director.  Mr Stanley Albert Vickery died in December 1986.

Walter Vickery, originally from Burrington, in Somerset, founded the drapery and outfitting business of Messrs Vickery and Company, 26 Bedford Street, and 8 Cornwall Street, but he moved away from Plymouth to Shrewsbury and left the business in the hands of his older brother, Mr William James Vickery (1844-1924).

Walter Carter Vickery (000-1956) was the younger brother of Mr Albert William Vickery and assisted him in the running of Messrs Vickery and Company.  Mr Walter Carter Vickery died on November 20th 1956.

Andrew Elliott Farrer Viner (born 1951), younger brother of Mr Michael John Farrer Viner (1941-2000), joined Messrs Viner, Carew and Company in 1974 and became a full partner in 1977.

George Claud Farrer Viner (1890-1952), a Captain in the Royal Norfolk Regiment during the Great War, set up in partnership in 1920 with Major Peter Fitzwilliam Carew as Messrs Viner, Carew and Company, auctioneers, estate agents, chartered surveyors and valuers.  Their office was on the third floor of the Prudential Building.  The partnership was dissolved in 1926.  Following the demolition of the Prudential Building in 1951 the business moved to number 55 York Street Street.  Mr Viner died on August 30th 1952.

Michael John Farrer Viner (1941-0000), succeeded his father, Mr Raymond Farrer Viner, as senior partner of Messrs Viner, Carew and Company, in 1982.  The business was sold to Messrs Fulford's, of Exeter, a member of the London and Manchester Insurance Group, in 1992.

Raymond Farrer Viner (1917-2000), son of Mr George Claud Farrer Viner, joined Messrs Viner, Carew and Company in 1934 as an articled clerk.  He qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1939 and became a full partner with his father in 1947.  In 1954 the business moved to the first floor of the new Prudential House in Royal Parade.  They were the first estate agent to open an office at Plymstock, first in Dean Cross Road in 1958 and then at number 1 The Broadway in 1960.  Mr Viner died on February 15th 2000.

John Vivian appeared on the list of "Freemen and House-holders of the Borough of Plymouth, entitled to vote for Members of Parliament" in July 1832.

J V Vodden appeared on the list of "Freemen and House-holders of the Borough of Plymouth, entitled to vote for Members of Parliament" in July 1832.

Samuel Voisey appeared on the list of "Freemen and House-holders of the Borough of Plymouth, entitled to vote for Members of Parliament" in July 1832.
