TRAMWAY SERVICES IN OLD PLYMOUTH

TRAMWAY SERVICE "3"

Commencement (see note A below)

When through running was introduced on Monday October 23rd 1916, this route was a combination of Plymouth Corporation's Theatre Royal to Peverell Corner and the Devonport and District Tramway Company's Morice Square to Tor Lane services.

Theatre Royal, Lockyer Street, Princess Square, Westwell Street, Basket  Street, Old Town Street, Drake Circus, Tavistock Road, North Hill, Mutley Plain, Hyde Park Road,Peverell Park Road, Peverell Corner, Tavistock Road, Milehouse, Saint Levan Road, Keyham Road, William Street, New Passage Hill, Morice Square.

Fare was one penny for any distance on any one car.  'Children 2 years of age and over must be paid for'.

Unification of the Network, Saturday July 1st 1922

Became Route 3, Theatre Royal, Mutley Plain, Peverell Corner, Milehouse, Saint Levan Road, North Keyham Gate, South Keyham Gate, Morice Square.
