THE PRINCE OF WALES'S HOSPITAL

In 1935 The Prince of Wales's Hospital, Plymouth, comprised the following: the former South Devon and East Cornwall Hospital, Greenbank; The Prince of Wales's Hospital, Lockyer Street; and The Prince of Wales's Hospital, formerly the Royal Albert Hospital and Eye Infirmary, New Passage Hill,  Devonport.

Following the introduction of the National Health Service, by 1951 they were all part of the Plymouth, South Devon and East Cornwall General Hospital Group, to which had been added Freedom Fields Hospital, Longfield terrace, Plymouth; the Royal Eye Infirmary, Apsley Road, Plymouth; and the Alexandra Maternity Home, Saint Michael's Terrace, Stoke.
