LAUNCESTON BRANCH MAGPIE VIADUCT Magpie Viaduct, at 9 miles 46 chains mile post mileage from Tavistock Junction on the Launceston Branch, was originally a timber structure but was rebuilt in Staffordshire brick. It was reputed to be 216 yards long and stood 62 feet high. These dimensions cannot be guaranteed. The new Viaduct was brought in to use on June 8th 1902. |
