BRANCH LINE, PLYMOUTH STATION (MILLBAY) TO LAUNCESTON STATION

CORYTON STATION

Coryton Station, at 23 miles 76 chains mile post mileage from Tavistock Junction, was opened by the Launceston and Tavistock Railway Company on July 1st 1865.

According to the "The Official Hand-book of Station 1956" Coryton Station dealt with goods traffic, passengers, parcels, miscellaneous traffic, furniture vans, carriages, motor cars, portable engines and machines on wheels, and live stock.  It was not equipped with a crane.

The Station was closed to passenger traffic on and as from December 31st 1962.
